The Berkshires

We love taking a weekend getaway every year in the Fall to see the New England colors! We had never been to the Berkshires in Western Massachusetts, so we decided to head there this year. It's about a two hour drive from Boston.

On the way, we stopped at the cutest pumpkin patch called Tougas Family Farm. There was animals, tractors, playgrounds, and so much for the kids to do!

We then drove on Jacob's Ladder Scenic Byway to get to The Mount. The mansion and grounds were so pretty to walk around!

The kids loved playing in all of the leaves on the groundđź’›
Then, we drove on Undermountain Road to get to Olivia's Overlook. It has a great view of the lake and you can see lots of the different tree colors from up here.

All the colors were beautiful!

As we were driving, we came across an adorable barn so we had to pull over. They were offering horse back rides, which ended up being our favorite memory from the trip- Olivia was SO cute and loved every second of being on the horse!!

Definitely quintessential New England right here!

We briefly walked around Naumkeag House & Gardens, but then it started to rain on us so we had to go!

Our last stop in the Berkshires was at the Hancock Shaker Village. The kids had so much fun looking at all of the animals.

On the way home, we stopped at the Eric Carle Block Museum. It's a cute museum, filled with mostly The Very Hungry Caterpillar book artwork.
