San Diego

My parents just bought a house in San Diego, so we stayed with them for the holidays. We flew out for Thanksgiving, and since we planned to spend Christmas there as well, we decided it would be best to just stay the 3 weeks in between the holidays. Flying across the country with two babies is no joke😁 Plus, it was so nice to have my parents help with our kids since we just had a baby and Dallin works a lot.

I sure love this place! Can we all just move here? It was perfect weather everyday, even though it was "winter". We explored lots of places during our 6-week visit and one of my favorites was the Botanic Garden.

There's a pretty bamboo forest, sunflower patch, and even a little playground that Olivia loved.

Almost everyday was 80 degrees and sunny, so we tried to go to the beach almost once a week. My favorite was Moonlight beach. There's a little paved path that leads almost all the way to the water, so you can easily bring your stroller on this beach.

A couple of my friends flew in with their babies to visit for a few days! It was so fun spending time with my friend Annie and her son Beckham. He's 8 months old and almost walking!

We also explored this little park called Queen Califia's Magic Circle.

And did tons of hot tubbing!

This is Ryan's first time swimming! We put the Otteroo on him which is hilarious on babies. They just look like a floating head😂(Here's Olivia's first time in it)

And all babies look so cute in pool floaties😍

Closer to Christmas Day, we went to Coronado and walked around Hotel Del. It was so fun seeing an ice skating rink right on the beach!

On Christmas Eve, we went to the San Diego Temple at sunset to see the Christmas lights and walk around. Such a beautiful temple!

We also went to La Jolla Cove a few times to walk along the beach and see the seals. I love the pink hotel there!

Lots of my college friends live in Southern California, so it was fun having friends over to visit! It had been a long time since I'd seen most of these friends and I got to meet their babies.

We also went to Leo Carrillo Ranch and saw peacocks walking around.

Natasha and her boy Benson came to visit for a few days too. Natasha and I have been friends since we were babies, so it's fun to now have baby boys just 6 weeks apart from each other! Here we are at the Botanical Building in Balboa Park.

We actually went to Balboa Park quite a lot- there's so much to do there! We walked around the rose garden, by the museums, and took Olivia for a ride on the cute carousel. Here's my dad with her!

This is right in front of the San Diego Zoo- we didn't get around to going there this time, but will for sure in the future. I love all the pretty palm trees.

There's also a cute Spanish Village Art Center there that has pretty painted tiles on the ground.

There's lots of adorable shops...

and a little train that goes around the park too.

Caught the picture mid-kiss😘

I love this picture of Olivia "driving" the tractor with a pacifier in her mouth. She loved sitting on my dad's tractor and just playing with the steering wheel, pretending to drive.

Also went to a Christmas PJ party with my mom!

We went to the beach almost once a week. We had to take advantage of such beautiful weather before going back to Boston. My favorite is Moonlight Beach...

Here's Cardiff state beach...

and Dana Point! We met up with Dallin's sister Brittany and her kids while they were in town visiting!

Right before we left, it started to look a lot like Fall😍

My parents have a little playground in their yard. At one point, we stuck two babies in each swing which was so funny.

Baby girls😍

Until next time, San Diego!💛
