Suwon Korean Folk Village

After we finished exploring Seoul, we traveled south. We wanted to see more cities that my dad served his mission in and other areas of the country in general. One of these included a day trip to a Korean Folk Village, which took us back in time to what it used to be like in Korea hundreds of years ago.

It was a fun place to soak in traditional Korean culture & history :)

Of course, we had a traditional Korean meal sitting on the floor...

We learned a little about their arts (this man just looks like he has an interesting life story to tell!)...

We watched a traditional Korean dance by these performers...

We even learned all about different forms of punishment. We thought this was the funniest one! Dallin said the guy actually hit him really hard LOL!

We were impressed with the tightrope walker (this man is in his sixties!)...

and even more impressed with the horseback riding show...

We explored the temples...

And finally, took a little break in a straw hut.

Best of all, I got to try a lot of new snacks that day. Call me crazy, but I kind of believe that everything tastes a little bit better if it's pink ;)
